BURRATA (individual portion)


Originated in the Apulia region, burrata means "buttery" in Italian. When making burrata, the still-hot cheese is formed into a pouch, which is then filled with mozzarella ribbons and topped off with fresh cream (Stracciatella) before closing. The cream has a rich flavour and has to be eaten immediately since it is a fresh cheese.
